Generating token numbers does not only have to be done through the system. You have the option to import your own list of unique access codes. This article will show you how to do this.

How to import your own tokens?

  • To import the tokens with contacts select the "Share" tab, then "Custom distribution" and in the next step "Import from a file".

  • When the dialog box appears, select the file containing the contact list. In this file, each of the columns can correspond to a label. Make sure that one of the columns is named as Token (or token/TOKEN) and the cells in that column contain the correct tokens which you want to assign to each contact. Each valid token must be unique and contain six alphanumeric characters. If the token is incorrect, the system will replace it with an automatically generated token.

  • After importing the file, the imported contacts with their assigned tokens will appear on the contact list.

What is worth remembering?

  • Always use one method of distribution for a given survey. If you want to apply your own distribution as well as "Sending to e-mail", copy your project.

  • In the case of the dynamic invitations and thanks - for example, sent via e-mail - using the [TOKEN] macro, the token added by you will be inserted in the place of the macro. You can read more about the dynamic compactness and macros in the "Dynamic content and macros" article

  • Detailed information on how to configure a survey with the highest security level, which means, using one-time access codes (tokens), can be found in the guide in the "Identification of respondents using a token" article.
