Opinions about a company on the Internet are one of the best ways to attract new customers. Customers want to make sure that they make the best choice, so positive recommendations and their visibility in Google search results are of great importance for business. They help potential customers make decisions about buying a product or service or starting cooperation. Therefore, in times of high competition, in order to have customers, you must have reviews.

But how do the positive opinions of Google Maps relate to Startquestion? Please let us explain. We have prepared an article in which we will present to you a verified method to receive positive reviews from the customer.

This method consists in the fact that after completing the transaction with the customer (e.g. after visiting a restaurant, purchasing in an online shop, providing technical support), he/she is asked to complete a satisfaction survey (leave an opinion) via the Internet. When the customer evaluates your services positively on a scale of 0-10 (i.e. gives you a score of 9 or 10), the system will ask him/her to leave an opinion on Google Maps - specifically on your Google Reviews business card.

Thanks to this solution, you can not only make sure that your profile has a lot of stars and comments, but at the same time you can guarantee that the negative opinions of customers are left only to ourselves. Of course, receiving negative feedback is also important and we are well aware of it, so we have prepared a separate article for you about how to appease a dissatisfied customer.

Survey results = positive Google reviews. How it works?

The scheme of operation is perfectly illustrated in the above graphic. Note that people who answer the question on a scale of 0 to 8 are asked to provide information, but not to leave your company a 5-star Google review. On the other hand, people who evaluate your company positively, i.e. 9 or 10, are redirected to the Google business card.

Now that you know what you want to achieve, you can move onto taking action!

Obtaining positive opinions on Google Maps - instruction

Step 1: Satisfaction survey

First, you need to create a simple satisfaction survey in which you ask the customer about their recent experience with your company. It may be, for example, a question about the purchasing process or an assessment of contacting the Customer Service Centre. The satisfaction survey can be copied from our database of survey templates. It might look as follows:

Step 2: Mailing the survey

In the next step, you need to collect the email addresses of customers who have used your services, e.g. in the form of a spreadsheet.

If your company has an internal CRM program, you can export email addresses in a simple way. If you do not know how to do it, type in Google: "how to export data from [PROGRAM NAME]"

Step 3: Set a redirection from the survey to Google Reviews

When you have created the survey and uploaded the list of respondents, go to the creation section and in the first question in which the customer assesses, click: Edit.

In the question editing screen, select for answers 9 and 10, "redirect to www". Thanks to this, only when the user is satisfied with the service will he/she be automatically transferred to the Google Maps page, where he/she can leave positive feedback.

Then enter the link to submit your opinion copied from Google into the URL field.

If you don't know where to get the link to your company's listing on Google, see help on the Google website.

Step 4: Setting up an email notification (alert) informing about the new assessment

To be sure that you will be kept informed about positive reviews on Google Maps, you need to take one more step - set an alert. This will make it possible not to miss any new filled out surveys, but you will also save time - you do not have to log in to Startquestion every time, just open your email box.

We explain step by step in our guide how to set the notification to be sent to the selected email address. This way you can be sure that all positive Google reviews will be immediately noticed by your team.

Collect positive opinions on Google and gain new customers

As you can see, it is very easy to set up a process that allows you to quickly get good feedback on Google Maps. Thanks to this, you will take care of the good image of the company on the Internet and build trust in your products and services.
