With this feature, you can protect the access to your survey with a password. If you secure the survey with a password (the same for everyone), you can be sure that the survey will be terminated only by authorised people (for example, only by the members of our company).

On the Startquestion.com website, we have three security levels for your survey:

1. Medium - the survey is available only via a direct link.

2. High - the survey is available only after entering the password you set earlier (See how to set a password).

3. The highest - the survey is secured with a single-use code (token), where each respondent has his or her individual one-time access password (See how to configure a survey with tokens).

How to protect access to the survey against outsiders?

1. Go to the Settings tab, and then the Survey settings. This will expand the menu related to this function and the form fields for modifying the survey settings will appear.

2. Search the menu for the Security form fields, and then select the security level you are interested in. The higher the level, the greater the chance that the survey will not be completed by outsiders.

What is worth remembering?

  • If the survey results are already collected, it is not possible to change the security level from the highest to any other, or from any other, to the highest.

  • By default, the survey settings allow access to it via a direct link (Medium Security).

  • The medium level of security also means that your survey will definitely not appear in the website's survey database, as well as will not be indexed by search engines such as Google.
